After having Monday off the Brewers begin a six-game homestand hosting the Pirates. Milwaukee will start RHP Colin Rea (8-2, 3.34 ERA) while Pittsburgh has not named a starting pitcher. First pitch is at 7:10 from American Family Field.

In the NL Central Monday the Pirates beat the Mets 8-2, the Cardinals shutout the Nationals 6-0 and the Reds won by the same score over the Rockies.  The Brewers lead the Cardinals by 4 ½ games, while the Pirates are 9 ½ out, the Reds 10 and the Cubs are 11 games out.

There were no games Monday in the Midwest League.  Tonight the Timber Rattlers host West Michigan. First pitch is at 6:40 from Fox Cities Stadium.

Back-to-back home runs from outfielders Preston Knott (Northwestern) and Parker Knoll (Lawrence) lifted the Dock Spiders to a 6-4 victory on Monday over Green Bay at Capital Credit Union Park, wrapping up the Dock Spiders’ five-game road stand. With the win, the Dock Spiders improved to 15-24 and 2-4 in the second half.

The Dock Spiders return home on Tuesday to face Madison, with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m. Ladies on Tuesday, can plan on additional ticket and drink offers at the ballpark courtesy of Quest Interiors. Plus, all fans can enjoy live music by D. Willy and the Souvenirs before and after the game! Additional Tuesday, is Bang For Your Buck with 107.1 The Bull – Enjoy hot dogs, 16 oz. Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Cameron  Sutton has been suspended eight games without pay for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy, the league announced Monday.

He will be eligible to return Tuesday, Oct. 29, following the Steelers’ Week 8 game against the New York Giants.

Sutton, 29, entered a pretrial diversion program in April to resolve a domestic violence case, according to court records. He had been charged with misdemeanor battery after he turned himself in to the Hillsborough County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office on March 31 after being wanted for weeks by police.

The NFL said an investigation of the incident found that Sutton violated the personal conduct policy. Sutton is not appealing the punishment, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Monday.

Keegan Bradley is making another Ryder Cup team, this time as the U.S. captain. The PGA of America announced his selection Monday after months of talking with Tiger Woods about taking the job.

The PGA of America released the news on Instagram after word began to leak during the day that Bradley, who has played on only two Ryder Cup teams and never was an assistant captain, was chosen to lead the 2025 matches at Bethpage Black in New York.
