Both right tackle Zach Tom and tight end Tucker Kraft will start training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) List due to pectoral injuries they suffered during the offseason.
Head coach Matt Lafleur said during the offseason program there wasn’t any long term concern with Tom’s injury, and they would both return during training camp.
Kraft said during minicamp he suffered the injury on the bench press when the tendon popped off the bone on one of his final reps. He had surgery to repair the injury, and was getting out of the sling during OTAs.
Rookie safety Kitan Oladapo was also placed on the Non-Football Injury list after missing the offseason program due to broken toe he suffered during the NFL Combine. An injury that required the safety to undergo surgery prior to the Draft.
Rookies, quarterbacks and injured players reported to camp on Wednesday. The rest of the team will report on Sunday ahead of the first practice on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Nistchke Field.
A four-home run evening and a late rally for the Dock Spiders on Wednesday night weren’t enough as the Dock Spiders fell short to Green Bay 7-6. The loss moved the Dock Spiders’ record to 18-31 on the season.

Five Fond du Lac Dock Spiders players were selected in the recent 2024 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. The first Dock Spider selected this year was Cole Messina (South Carolina). Messina, a catcher on the 2022 Dock Spiders team, was selected in the third round with the 77th pick by the Colorado Rockies.
In addition to Messina, RHP David Hagaman (2022), OF Nick Mitchell (2022), C Bennett Thompson (2022), and RHP Noah Wech (2024) were all selected. Messina entered the draft as a Top-100 prospect, while Mitchell ranks among team leaders in many offensive categories. Wech, a Manitowoc, Wisc. native and Oklahoma State commit, was selected by Milwaukee to mark the first Dock Spider picked by the Brewers.
Fond du Lac’s five draft selections this year tied for fifth-most in the Northwoods League, behind St. Cloud (7), Mankato (6), Willmar (6), and Wisconsin Rapids (6). The five selections tied for fifth-most with Green Bay, Kenosha, and Madison. The Northwoods League saw 70 league players selected over the three-day draft.
Since 2017, the first year of the Dock Spiders, 43 former players have been drafted including current Miami Marlins catcher Nick Fortes, outfielder Victor Scott and right-handed pitcher Ryan Loutos. Scott and Loutos made their Major League debuts this season with the St. Louis Cardinals. Last year, 10 former Dock Spiders were selected in the MLB First-Year Player Draft, the most in team history.
Stephen Curry was relatively quiet offensively during the U.S. Olympic team’s first two exhibitions before the Paris Games.
He got a lot more assertive on Wednesday with his official Olympic debut less than two weeks away.
Curry scored 24 points, Bam Adebayo added 17 and the U.S. beat Serbia 105-79 to improve to 3-0 in its five-game slate of exhibitions ahead of the Paris Olympics.
Anthony Davis finished with seven points, six rebounds and six blocks helping to lead a U.S. defensive effort that limited Serbia throughout. Anthony Edwards had 16 points and Lebron James added 11.
The U.S. led by as many as 31 points in the last pair of warmup games in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Americans now head to London to play two more tune-ups before heading to France. The first is Saturday against South Sudan, followed by a matchup with Germany on Monday at London’s O2 Arena.
Caitlin Clark broke the WNBA record for assists in a game with 19 in the Inidana Fever’s 101-93 road loss to the Dallas Wings on Wednesday night, the final game league-wide prior to the monthlong Olympic break.
The previous single-game assist record was 18 by Courtney Vanderloot for Chicago on Aug. 31, 2020. Vandersloot also had 18 in a playoff game on Sept. 28, 2021.
Clark, the No. 1 pick in the 2024 draft and NCAA Division I all-time scoring leader, also had 24 points on 10-for-19 shooting. She scored or assisted on 66 points for the Fever — the most in a game in WNBA history, surpassing a 65-point effort from Diana Taurasi on Aug. 10, 2006.
Clark became the second rookie in league history, joining Candace Parker in 2008, to score or assist on 50 or more points in multiple games.
Now 26 games into the season, Clark has scored or assisted on 915 points, a rookie single-season record. Her 213 assists on the season are also second most by a rookie in league history and are approaching Ticha Penicheiro’s record of 225.
