29 June 2024 News
Twelve hours after a Lomira man began a standoff with Dodge County Sheriff’s deputies a crisis negotiator was able to talk the man into existing a residence on Linden Court in the Village of Lomira. Anthony John Johnson was arrested on felony and misdemeanor domestic abuse charges Friday. Deputies responded to the residence late Thursday evening for a report of physical domestic abuse. The victim was able to leave the residence shortly after deputies arrived. They learned a firearm had been used during the incident. They were unable to get Johnson to leave the residence. A search warrant was obtained, and Johnson was talked out of leaving the residence nearly 12 hours later. He was booked into the Dodge County Jail on a felony charge of strangulation and suffocation, and misdemeanor charges of battery, disorderly conduct, and intentionally pointing a firearm at another person, all with domestic abuse penalty enhancers. Search warrants for the residence turned up a firearm, drugs, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana.
