5/29/24 Green Lake County Sheriff’s K9 Roky Passes Away

Green Lake County Sheriff’s officials say their K9 Roky passed away peacefully on Sunday after suffering the effects of cancer. Roky and his handler Sergeant Michael Prachel successfully removed significant amounts of drugs and criminals who traffic them during the course of Roky’s career. The Yellow Lab also brought joy to classrooms and community groups when he visited for demonstrations. He proved to have one of the best singing voices in Green Lake County Law Enforcement during ‘Singing with Seniors’ events. He also loved to get a scratch or pat on the head, and he always knew when someone at the office needed a visit from his adorable face. The Green Lake County Sheriff’s Department has two other K9 Officers, Ash and Kai both are German Shepherds. (Green Lake County Sheriff’s photos).
