5/24/24 Threat at Lomira School District

24 May 2024 News

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office increased its presence in the Lomira School District after the district received an automated voicemail this morning stating there was a threat to the school. The message was vague, did not name the district specifically, and was more political in nature. It regarded a judge in Utah who gave a light sentence to a subject who was charged and convicted of crimes against children. Extra deputies were sent to Lomira schools to ensure the safety of staff, students, and the public. Sheriff’s officials worked with federal agencies. They learned numerous schools in other states had received the same message in previous days. All investigations found the message was not a credible threat.
