5/18/24 FDL Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Murder

18 May 2024 News

Fond du Lac County Judge Tricia Walker Friday sentenced a Fond du Lac man to life in prison without the possibility of release for the shooting death of 40-year-old Brian Johnson. In January a jury found 34-year-old Timothy Brown guilty of first-degree intentional homicide with a dangerous weapon and felon in possession of a firearm following a five-day jury trial. Brown was charged with the August 20th, 2022, shooting death of Johnson. According to the criminal complaint the two men were at a bar early that morning and got into an argument. Brown shoved Johnson and shortly afterward they left the bar. Surveillance video and audio indicate four shots were fired in a minute’s time. The shots were fired at close range. Police were able to recover the clothing Brown wore that night and match Johnson’s DNA to a red stain on Brown’s shoes. District Attorney Eric Toney says, “The defendant executed Brandon Johnson and stole a father from his children, while showing no signs of remorse.”
