Fond du Lac Police arrested a 55-year-old Fond du Lac man this morning for robbing a bar the night before. Police got a call to the 18 Hands Ale Haus for a report of a man who forcefully took money and threatened to assault the bartender. The bartender was not injured and told officers the man had fled on foot after taking money from the cash register. Police were unable to locate the suspect. They reviewed camera footage from inside the tavern and were able to identify the suspect as a man they were familiar with. At 6:18 this morning they got a call from a passerby who spotted the suspect in the 600 to 700 block of West Johnson Street. Police officers flooded the area and took the man into custody. He was taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail. He’s facing robbery and bail jumping charges.
