Point guard Chucky Hepburn is the latest member of the Badgers to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. Following former guard A.J. Storr, who committed to Kansas. ESPN was first to report Heburn would be entering the transfer portal following three seasons in Madison. Hepburn later confirmed the decision with a post on Instagram.
Last year, Heburn saw his points per game drop to 9.2 but had an increase in assists as he took more of a role as a facilitator in the Badgers offense alongside Storr in the backcourt.
Heburn started 103 games during his time with the Badgers, and was also praised for his increased role as a leader as Wisconsin returned to the NCAA tournament.
Storr entered the transfer portal not long after the season, and was also exploring the NBA Draft process. Thursday the sophomore guard announced that would be transferring to Kansas.
Illinois, Arkansas and Texas were also finalists to land Storr in the transfer portal, according to a report by Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The deal includes a provision for Arizona to get an expansion team if a new arena is built within the next five years. The deal will be facilitated through the NHL, with $200 million going to league owners as a relocation fee.
Smith will take over the franchise’s hockey operations and Meruelo will maintain his business operations in Arizona in an effort to secure and develop a tract of land for a new arena in north Phoenix.
Meruelo also retains ownership of the Tucson Roadrunners, the franchise’s AHL affiliate, and hopes to move them to Mullett Arena, the Coyotes’ temporary home shared with Arizona State University the past two seasons. He plans to pay back the $1 billion once an expansion team is approved.
