3/23/24 Stabbing Near FDL Suspect on the Run

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials are looking for a 50-year-old man who fled from a stabbing at a private residence on County Highway K in the Town of Fond du Lac Friday afternoon. The woman who was stabbed was taken to a hospital with life-threatening-injuries. The suspect is Fermin Teodoro Lopez-Mendoza. He was believed to be driving a maroon-colored 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe with Wisconsin license plate AJD-9891. The rear window of the vehicle is partially or fully broken out. He was last seen heading north on County Highway K approaching U.S. Highway 45. Anyone who has seen him or the vehicle described is asked to call 911. The Sheriff’s office is asking anyone who sees him to avoid making contact. The victim is known to the suspect, and it was not a random attack. (Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s photos).
