3/23/24 Ripon Native Returns to Thrasher
23 March 2024 News
Green Lake, Wis. – Sbowe, the solo project of Ripon native Rachel Icenogle, will be presented Thursday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. at Thrasher Opera House. Icenogle is a cellist and composer based in Calabria, Italy, originally from Ripon, Wisconsin – with a mind for new and interesting sounds. Sbowe aims to thrive in the scratchy, creaky, and whirly sounds the cello can make, layering musical textures in the groundwork for fables about insects and stories about human batteries.
Sbowe released new music entitled “Bat Hat” earlier this March.
This event is supported in part by a grant from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the state of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Tickets for the Sbowe performance on Thursday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. are $15 and are available at www.thrasheroperahouse.com or by calling 920-294-4279
