3/21/24 One Killed One Injured in Dodge County Head-On Crash

Dodge County Sheriff’s officials say a two-vehicle head on collision near Columbus claimed the life of a 22-year-old Watertown woman and led to non-life-threatening injuries for a 60-year-old Pardeeville man. 911 calls reported the crash on State Highway 16/60 near O’Connor Road in the Town of Elba at 7:48 this morning. According to the initial investigation the woman’s vehicle was heading west, crossed the center line, and collided head-on with the man’s eastbound vehicle. She was extricated from the vehicle and died at the scene. The man was taken to a hospital. The drivers were the sole occupants of each vehicle. It was Dodge County’s second fatal crash this year.
