The Phoenix Suns won at home Tuesday night 114-106 over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led Milwaukee with 34 points and 10 rebounds along with 6 assists. Malik Beasley scored 22.

Devin Booker led the Suns with 32 points, Kevin Durant had 28 and Bradley Beal scored 25

Three-time All-Star Khris Middleton sprained his left ankle in the first quarter of the Milwaukee Bucks’ matchup against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night and was ruled out for the rest of the game.

Middleton twisted his ankle when landing on Suns forward Kevin Durant’s foot after he attempted a jumper. Durant was called for a foul and it was upgraded to a Flagrant-1 after officials judged that Durant didn’t give Middleton space to land.

Middleton stayed in the game to shoot his free throws, but was limping and eventually went back to the locker room.  He finished with six points.

The 32-year-old Middleton is averaging 15 points, 5.1 assists and 4.3 rebounds this season.

The Bucks dropped to 33-18 and are in third place in the Eastern Conference, a half-game behind the Caviliers and 5 ½ games behind the Celtics. The Suns improve to 30-21, tied for second with the Kings in the Western Conference.

Milwaukee is back home Thursday night to host the Minnesota Timberwolves.

NFL Network’s Tom Peliserro is rporting the Miami Dolphins are hiring former Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Joe Barry as part of their defensive coaching staff.

Pelissero says Barry will be serving in the role of linebackers coach/run game coordinator.

Barry was the Packers’ defensive coordinator for three seasons before the team fired him in January. The Packers replaced Barry with former Boston College head coach Jeff Hafley.

Green Bay had a top 10 passing defense under Barry’s scheme but the Packers rushing defense was among the bottom 10 teams for two consecutive years.

Barry has worked as an NFL coach for 22 seasons. He also served as defensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions from 2007 to 2008 and the Washington Commanders from 2015 to 2016.

Right-handed pitcher Jacob Junis has agreed to a one-year, $7 million contract with the Brewers, a source told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand.

The club has not confirmed the deal, which is pending a physical.

The 31-year-old Junis spent the last two seasons with the Giants, operating in a prototypical swingman role in both the rotation and bullpen. Across 198 innings, Junis appeared in 63 games — 21 of which were starts while the remaining 42 outings were out of the bullpen. During that time, Junis was roughly a league-average pitcher with a 97 ERA+ (100 is average) and 3.69 FIP..

Junis will join a rotation that’s headlined by Freddy Peralta and veteran starter Wade Miley. Junis figures to slot somewhere in the middle of the rotation around other potential starters like Colin Rea, Joe Ross and DL Hall — the latter who was acquired in the Burnes trade.

The Wisconsin Herd, NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, has acquired James Akinjo from the Stockton Kings in exchange for the returning player rights to Terry Larrier and Wisconsin’s second-round pick in the 2024 NBA G League Draft.

Akinjo, 6-1, 190-pound guard has appeared in 17 games for the Stockton Kings this season while averaging 9.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 24.5 minutes per game. Before joining the Kings, the California native played in 38 games for the Westchester Knicks and averaged 15.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 8.0 assists in 31.0 minutes per game during the 2022-23 season.

Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers have reached agreement on a new contract, ensuring that one of the greatest players in franchise history will remain with the only organization he has ever pitched for, sources confirmed to ESPN on Tuesday.

The structure of Kershaw’s deal is unknown, but the left-hander, who turns 36 in March, will take his physical at the Dodgers’ spring training complex in Glendale, Arizona, within the next day or two.

Kershaw will return for at least his 17th season with the Dodgers but will spend at least the first half of the year recovering from offseason shoulder surgery.

Kershaw was expected to sign with either the Dodgers or his hometown Texas Rangers this offseason. The New York Post first reported the agreement.

Over his 16 seasons, Kershaw has held opposing batters to a .209 average while going 210-92 with a 2.48 ERA, 2,944 strikeouts and just 669 walks. He has also made 39 appearances in the postseason, starting 32 games, with a 13-13 record, a 4.49 ERA and 213 strikeouts.
