GREEN LAKE, WI, — Town Square Community Center will showcase the work of Jack Harp, a photographer whose roots and heart belong to Wisconsin. This February, visitors to the Town Square Lobby Gallery at 492 Hill St, Green Lake, can enjoy the talented photographic work of Harp. The gallery is open from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 1 pm on Saturdays.
“Photography was my calling from the moment I left high school,” Harp reflects. “Joining the Air Force gave me the incredible opportunity to pursue my greatest passion.”
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Jack found his calling early. Fresh out of high school, he embarked on an adventurous career as an Air Force photographer in Las Vegas, honing his skills in capturing pivotal moments. His journey led him to Maui, where he spent 25 years intermittently, drawing inspiration from its magnificent landscapes and vibrant culture.
“My expertise lies in individuals and locations,” Harp remarked. “If something catches my eye, I want to capture it with my lens.”
With over 30 years of experience in the Milwaukee area, he’s not just a photographer; he’s a storyteller who’s been part of countless special days, working for weddings, landscape photography, and other various photoshoots. Many of his pieces hanging in the lobby encompass the warmth of Hawaiian culture and beaches.
