12/30/23 SSM Health Greater FDL Announces BEE Award Winners

30 December 2023 News

SSM Health Greater Fond du Lac has awarded its quarter three BEE (Be Exceptional Everyday) Awards.

The BEE Award is specifically designed to recognize staff members who demonstrate great teamwork and communication skills, collaboration, professionalism, exemplary service, and a commitment to excellence.

Bridget Falk (pictured), Diabetes Services, SSM Health Ripon Community Hospital: Bridget was one of the presenters for the Diabetes Education class in September. She gave a marvelous presentation about diabetic retinopathy using some visual aids I had never seen before. She has a bubbly personality getting along easily with the patients who attended.

Bridgette Flier, Dialysis Center Waupun, SSM Health Waupun Memorial Hospital: Bridgette is a such a pleasure to work with! She is such a hard worker and never complains. She is respected by all the staff, and patients love and respect her too. Bridgette began leading our unit in a short devotion time each morning. This has brought unity among us. Bridgette is compassionate to her patients and her co-workers. I love having a great co-worker to work with on our team.

Leah Harder, Chiropractic Care, SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic: A patient in distress presented to Health Plaza A, Pod B reception area. The patient was very distraught and in emotional distress. Lynn and Leah jumped into action to help this patient. They got the patient back to a room and assisted her. They worked together to get this patient the care that she needed. This is a true testament to who we are as SSM Health staff and how we care for our patients!

Kristin Kohlman, Occupational/Physical Therapy, SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital: Kristin is a special type of provider with the patience of a saint. My son is a particularly tough patient who doesn’t always trust his body/pain. Kristin helped him slow down, trust the process, trust in his body and abilities. We began to look forward to seeing her each week as he inched his way back toward his sport. My son is not a huge hugger and Kristin got a big hug the final day of treatment. SSM Health is lucky to have her on staff.

I began treatment after having home care for recovery from a broken bone. Kristin has consistently shown exceptional treatments and care along with thorough education and instruction regarding the exercises to increase range of motion and strengthening. Application of dry needling was instrumental in alleviating pain and improving range of motion. Rationale for each exercise was given along with demonstrating proper form of how to do the various tasks and providing printed out instructions. She ensured that I understood each step before ending each session. My improvements have been dramatic as a result of her encouragement and attention to special details. She sincerely and genuinely demonstrated a caring attitude in a highly professional and respectful manner.

Renee ensured that my son was able to get a prescription through Medicaid. She took it upon herself to call BadgerCare to look into the situation. She was able to tell me the process to get this material for my son and saved me a lot of time and effort. I so appreciate her services. She has been with the pharmacy many years and has helped us on many different occasions with my son and his unique needs. She is so knowledgeable and really went above and beyond to help us out.
