Green Lake, Wis. – The Fox Cities Swing Band will perform a free Holiday Concert as a Gift to the Community at the historic Thrasher Opera House on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.
The Fox Cities Swing Band has been together for over twelve years. The band specializes in the ’40s and ’50s jazz standards from the significant band era. The ensemble comprises a variety of musicians from all over the Fox Valley area. On average, the ensemble plays six to ten times yearly for events at retirement communities, fundraisers, birthday parties, community events, and wedding receptions. Members manage the band. This show is free to attend at Thrasher Opera House.
Thrasher Opera House Board of Directors member Steve Yeomans is sponsoring this show. This event is supported in part by a grant from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
