10/29/23 Pedestrian Killed by Vehicle in Waupaca County

Waupaca County Sheriff’s officials say a pedestrian was struck and killed while assisting another motorist Saturday. It happened on County Highway W. The vehicle that hit the pedestrian left the scene but was located a short time later. The driver was taken into custody. Alcohol is believed to be a factor. The County Medical Examiner’s Office pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Dale Fire Department, Dale First Responders, Fremont Ambulance, the State Patrol, and County Medical Examiner’s Office. Names were not released.
