10/17/23 Two Stolen Vehicle Suspects Arrested at Gunpoint in FDL

Suspects wanted for allegedly stealing vehicles in Winnebago and Waushara counties were taken into custody during a high-risk vehicle stop in the Festival Foods parking lot in Fond du Lac Monday morning. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say they got information from Winnebago County about a vehicle stolen in the morning hours and learned the two suspects may have also taken a vehicle in Waushara County leading law enforcement on a pursuit. The suspects were believed to be armed. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies spotted the stolen vehicle from Winnebago County at 10:17 am heading west on East Johnson Street near US Highway 151 in Fond du Lac. The vehicle turned into the Festival Foods parking lot where deputies took the man driving the vehicle and a woman who was his passenger into custody during a high-risk traffic stop. Deputies also recovered a long rifle. The suspects were turned over to the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office and the vehicle to the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office. Assisting at the scene were Fond du Lac Police and the State Patrol.
