10/10/23 Ripon Woman Sentenced for Drug Overdose Death

10 October 2023 News

The 55-year-old Ripon woman convicted of first-degree reckless homicide and eight other felony charges has been sentenced to 11 ½ years in prison and 16 years of extended supervision. Charges against Carla Endeward stem from the drug overdose death of her husband Scott Endeward that occurred in the City of Ripon on March 5th of 2020 and three other fentanyl overdoses that didn’t result in death. During a five-day jury trial in June she was found guilty of nine charges.   Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney says the jury convicted her for assisting in the setting up of drug deals, through phone calls, and allowing others to use drugs and overdose in her residence. Toney says, “Fentanyl is a scourge on our society that is destroying lives and forcing parents to bury their children. This is another life lost that nearly resulted in a second death.” The Ripon Police Department investigated the death and overdoses.
