GREEN LAKE, WI, — Town Square Community Center, nestled in the heart of Green Lake, offers a MakerSpace – a dynamic, interactive haven for creativity and community engagement. This creative space is open to the public during Town Square’s operating hours: Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 492 Hill St, Green Lake, WI.
The MakerSpace is a free resource for the community, inviting everyone to gather and create. This vibrant space boasts six large tables and chairs, providing ample room for artistic expression. Moreover, it features an entire vault room stocked with a generous assortment of donated art supplies. From coloring pencils to oil pastels, paper to cardstock, scissors to glue, and even perler beads, buttons, and string – the MakerSpace is a treasure trove of artistic possibilities.
This inspiring space dons a mural created by a local high school artist, and is overseen by a dedicated team of volunteers, guided by our Program Coordinator, Zoe Niemuth. Their passion and commitment have transformed the MakerSpace into a bustling hub of creativity, attracting drop-in visitors, scheduled classes, and a summer kids’ art camp.
“I love knowing that there is a space like this for the community in Green Lake,” stated Bethann Vaubel, a devoted MakerSpace volunteer and frequent visitor. “The variety of creations and the age range and ability levels of visitors you see visit this room are just remarkable.”
