9/2/23 Investigation Into Taycheedah Inmate’s Death Concludes

Fond du Lac Police have concluded their investigation into the beating death of an inmate at Taycheedah Correctional Institution who was found dead in her cell. As a result, a first-degree intentional homicide charge has been referred against 27-year-old Taylor Sanchez to the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office. Sanchez is suspected in the beating death of 68-year-old Cindy Schulz-Juedes who was found unresponsive in her cell in July. In October 2021 a Marathon County jury found Cindy Schulz-Juedes guilty of first-degree intentional homicide and resisting or obstructing an officer. In June of last year, she was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. Her husband, Kenneth Juedes was found shot to death in August of 2006. He was 58 years old at the time. Criminal charges were not filed until 2019. Taylor Sanchez has multiple convictions for battery to prisoners.
