9/17/23 Pickett Man Missing Maybe Armed

Winnebago County authorities are looking for a missing 65-year-old Pickett man who may be armed and suicidal if not deceased. Wayne Siems was last seen by his wife at their home on Bonnieview Road around 9 am Friday morning. Wayne has several health problems including being on blood thinners, he has a pacemaker, and is in generally poor health, tiring easily. He was upset over recent legal issues and had purchased a handgun on Thursday. The gun case and box were found in fields immediately north of his residence. Deputies were unable to find him after an extensive search of the immediate area of corn, soybean fields and wooded areas. He had no cell phone, medications, vehicle, or wallet.
