9/1/23 Violent Sex Offender Being Released in FDL

1 September 2023 News

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and Fond du Lac Police Department are informing residents about a violent sex offender that is being released from the Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center and will be living in Fond du Lac. Sixty-three-year-old Donald Anderson, Jr. will be living in one of the two residential facilities that the county built for high risk sex offenders on the County Highway Department property at 1830 South Hickory Street. Sheriff’s deputies frequently refuel their squad cars there and it is also a training site for them. Anderson will also be on GPS monitoring. He was released in 2021 to a home in the Town of Eldorado but violated terms of his release and was sent back to Sand Ridge. Anderson will be moving to Fond du Lac Tuesday. He was convicted in Fond du Lac County in 1997 for sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl and in 1977 in Lake County, Illinois for sexually assaulting two 16-year-old boys.
