7/8/23 Manitowoc Man Sought Following FDL County Chase

8 July 2023 News

Fond du Lac County authorities are looking for a 24-year-old Manitowoc man who fled from a Sheriff’s deputy trying to pull him over for a speeding violation on State Highway 49 near Brandon Road in the Town of Metomen Friday morning. During the pursuit Nathan Holan crashed into a utility pole at the intersection of East Main Street and Woodward Street in the Village of Brandon. He fled on foot. A deputy contacted the registered owner of the vehicle who happened to be Holan’s mother. She had been contacted by him and he told her he believed he had broken his leg. He reached out to her a second time and it was apparent he wasn’t seeking assistance for his injuries. Authorities searched for him for 5 hours without success despite the use of K9s and a drone. Deputies located a white substance in the vehicle that tested positive for Fentanyl and other narcotics. Large amounts of drug paraphernalia and cash were also found. The vehicle was totaled. Holan has a lengthy criminal history and is currently on probation for armed robbery. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. Anyone with information on Holan’s whereabouts should call the Sheriff’s Office at 920-929-3390 or you can leave an anonymous tip at 920-906-4777. Assisting the Sheriff’s Office during the search for Holan were Police from Ripon, Waupun, and Fond du Lac and CN Railroad.
