7/8/23 Fire Destroys Barn in Columbia County

Fire destroyed a barn at W3298 County Highway P in Columbia County Friday morning. Eleven fire departments responded to the blaze including the Pardeeville Fire Department which reported the barn had smoke coming from the eaves and fully engulfed hay mound inside when they arrived. There was exterior damage to the siding of the home on the property, but it was saved from further damage. The barn was a total loss. No one was injured and no animals were lost in the blaze. EMS crews from Pardeeville, Aspirus and Randolph monitored firefighter wellness. The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Management also provided assistance at the scene.
