Seven strokes ahead on the back nine, Langer bogeyed the final three holes for 1-under 70 and a two-stroke victory over home-state favorite Steve Stricker on the tree-lined course with thick rough.

Langer finished at 7-under 277, with only eight players breaking par for the week. He shattered the tournament age record set by Allen Doyle in 2006 at SentryWorld at 57 years, 11 months, 14 days.

Also the 2010 U.S. Senior Open winner at Sahalee outside Seattle, Langer extended his record for senior major victories to 12. He won the Chubb Classic in Florida in February to tie Irwin.

Stricker — from Madison, 100 miles to the south — birdied three of the last five holes for a 69.

Stricker won the first two senior majors of the year and took his hometown Madison event three weeks ago for his fourth Champions victory of the season.

Fellow Madison player Jerry Kelly was third at 4 under after a 71.

Shane van Gisbergen, the New Zealand Supercars driver making his first career Cup start in the rain-delayed Grant Park 220 in Chicago on Sunday.

Milwaukee is keeping another one of their star players. Brook Lopez and the Bucks have agreed to a two-year $48 million deal, according to multiple reports.  This comes a day after the Bucks re-signed three-time All-Star Khris Middleton to a three-year $102 million deal shortly after free agency opened Friday.

Milwaukee also re-signing Jae Crowder to a one-year deal, according to Chris Haynes.

Lopez is coming off arguably his best season yet leading the NBA in blocked shots and averaging nearly 16 points a game. He was also the runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year.

t appeared Lopez’ career may be on the decline after back surgery limited him to just 13 games in the 2021-22 season; however, he came back stronger than ever.

Now the Bucks have secured their two biggest free agents this offseason. So they keep their core star players together as Adrian Griffin now takes over as head coach.

The Bucks did lose Jevon Carter to the Bulls and Joe Ingles to the Magic in free agency.

Meanshile, Khris Middleton is staying in Milwaukee, NBA free agency starting at 5pm Friday night and it didn’t take long for the three-time all-star and Bucks to come to an agreement.

Middleton is agreeing to a new three-year, $102 million deal, according to ESPN.staying with Milwaukee and Giannis after declining his 5th year player option a few weeks ago.

Middleton battled a knee and wrist injury this last year but played in 33 games averaging 15 points, almost 5 assists and 4.2 rebounds in his 24 minutes a night. We’re still waiting on Brook Lopez.

Meanwhile, Jevon Carter is heading to the Bulls on a 3-year, $20 million deal. Joe Ingles is expected to go to the Magic, according to Chris Haynes. Former Oshkosh North starTyrese Haliburton has signed a huge contract extension with the Indiana Pacers. The fourth-year guard out of Iowa State has more than lived up to his billing as the 12th overall pick in the 2020 draft. After starting his career with the Sacramento Kings, he was moved just before the trade dealine in the 2021-2022 season as the centerpiece return for the Pacers in the Domantas Sabonis trade.

Haliburton made his first all-star game this year, and averaged just over 20 points and just over 10 assists a game for Pacers this year. And, at only 23 years old, it makes sense why the Pacers wanted to sign him to a big extension. That’s what they did.
