Want to become more confident on your electronic devices such as smartphones and tablets?
Join Bug Tussel University for a series of classes this summer at the Fond du Lac Public Library so that you can surf the web safely and effectively.
Classes scheduled include:
- Tuesday, June 13 at 11 a.m. – Email help: Learn what email is, how it works, & how to stay safe. Bring your device and email login credentials to practice during the class. If you don’t have an email account, the teachers can help. Held in the McLane Room.
- Tuesday, July 11 at 11 a.m. – Getting News Online: Learn how to access local & national news from reputable online sources. Discover how to search for news online, which apps you can download on your phone, and how to set up personalized news settings. Held in the McLane Room.
- Tuesday, Aug. 8 at 11 a.m. – Smarter Searching Online: Get tips on how to improve internet searches. Learn how to find information online and get an opportunity to practice your searching skills. Bring a smartphone or laptop for hands-on practice. Held in the McLane Room.
Bug Tussel University is the educational branch of Bug Tussel Wireless, providing free classes about basic technology concepts to rural areas.
Fond du Lac Public Library operates two locations: the Main Library at 32 Sheboygan St. in downtown Fond du Lac, and the Allen J. Buechel Branch at 255 Country Lane near Festival Foods. The main library is open daily: Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Chapter 52 Bookstore at 52 Sheboygan St. is open Monday through Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., while the Allen J. Buechel Branch is open weekdays from 2 to 6 p.m., and weekends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
