[Ripon, Wisconsin – May 30th, 2023] – The Little White Schoolhouse is thrilled to announce the appointment of Steve Arbaugh as its new Museum Director who will be focusing on marketing communications, special events, and overall visitor experience. With his diverse background and passion for history, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team.
Having grown up in five Midwestern states, Steve has experienced the vibrant tapestry of large cities and small towns. Throughout his career, he has worked with both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, ranging from startups to large corporations. This extensive experience, combined with his background in marketing on both the corporate and agency side, makes Steve a valuable addition to the Little White Schoolhouse.
Steve and his wife Cathylee have been residents of Ripon for the past six years, having previously owned a home in Marquette County for twenty-three years. Their love for Wisconsin and its rich history played a significant role in their decision to settle in Ripon. They were drawn to the town’s charm, the opportunity to restore a historic home, the presence of Ripon College, and the vibrant cultural events and volunteer work. Steve is also known for his dedicated work at the local historical society, where he has made substantial contributions in website development, social media management, fundraising campaigns, and fostering member relationships.
The Little White Schoolhouse Team is excited to welcome Steve and leverage his expertise to enhance the visitor experience and strengthen community engagement. Steve’s profound knowledge of marketing communications, special events, and his passion for history make him a perfect fit for his new role. His innovative ideas and dedication to preserving and promoting Ripon’s unique history will undoubtedly contribute to the success of the Little White Schoolhouse.
The Little White Schoolhouse has been freshly painted and polished and will be open soon Monday-Sunday, 10AM-4PM. Be sure to check out the Little White Schoolhouse facebook page or www.ripon1854.com for the exact date of our reopening. The new address is 1074 West Fond du Lac Street.
