The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the 50-year-old Eden woman killed in a traffic accident on County Highway B just west of the Village of Eden. Tracy Alm was heading east towards the Village of Eden when her vehicle crossed over the centerline, went across the westbound lane and into a grassy ditch. Her vehicle continued until it struck a tree. Alm died at the scene of the crash. The accident is still being investigated but Sheriff’s officials say Alm may have died of a medical condition before her car went off the road and crashed into the tree.

A single vehicle crash on Fond du Lac County Highway B just west of the Village of Eden claimed the life of a 50-year-old Eden woman just before 8 o’clock Tuesday morning. The County’s Communications Center received a report that a vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree, trapping the woman driving it. She was non-responsive and having difficulty breathing. Deputies, Eden Fire Department and First Responders, Campbellsport Ambulance, City of Fond du Lac Paramedics and the State Patrol responded to the crash. Despite medical attempts the woman died at the scene. Investigators say the vehicle was heading east on County Highway B towards the Village of Eden. It traveled over the center line, crossed through the westbound lane and entered a grassy ditch. The vehicle continued until it struck a tree and came to rest. It is believed the crash is related to speed or impaired driving. It was the eighth traffic death in the county this year.
