Bond has been set at $1 million cash for a 14-year-old Fond du Lac boy, one of two suspected shooters involved in killing one person and injuring two others during a shooting at the Maplewood Common Apartments in Fond du Lac Sunday. Parise E. Larry (pictured) turned himself in to police early Wednesday morning. Later he made his initial court appearance. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 25th. The other suspected shooter, 17-year-old Antonio Johnston, is still at large. According to the criminal complaint the two had a beef with one of the victims and showed up while a group was barbecuing outside. At some point Johnston and Larry started shooting toward a group of five people. Apartment surveillance camera video showed Johnston shooting toward the group and 20-year-old Tatyanna Zech falling to the ground. Zech died later at the hospital of a gunshot wound to the head. Larry could not be seen clearly in the video because he was firing from the threshold of a doorway. A 49-year-old man and his 18-year-old son in one of the apartments were struck by stray bullet and another victim was burned by a bullet that brushed by his leg but didn’t break the skin. After the shooting Johnston and Larry were seen running toward a dumpster at Theisen Middle School. Police found two pistols in the dumpster.
CHARGES FILED AGAINST BOTH TEENS
Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney announced Wednesday that eight felonies, including first degree intentional homicide as a party to a crime with a dangerous weapon and violent crime in a school zone have been filed against two Fond du Lac teens. Charges against 14-year-old Parise E. Larry and 17-year-old Antonio K. Johnston stem from a shooting in the City of Fond du Lac last Friday that left a 20-year-old woman dead and two others injured. Larry turned himself into Fond du Lac Police early Wednesday morning. Johnston remains at large. Anyone with information should contact Detective Nick Hahn at 920-322-3721 or the Crime Alert line at 920-322-3740. If convicted of the crimes they are charged with and sentenced to maximum penalties the two could end up spending the rest of their lives in prison.
