4/11/23 Fire Destroys Town of FDL Home

Fire destroyed a home at W5125 Valley Creek Road in the Town of Fond du Lac Monday afternoon. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say as deputies responded to the fire they could see a large amount of smoke coming from the area. When they arrived the house was fully engulfed in flames. Everyone was out of the house. There were no injuries but the house was a total loss. A preliminary investigation shows the fire started with improperly discarded smoking material. It is believed the high winds played a factor as the fire spread from the outside of the home to the inside. Ten fire departments battled the blaze. Ralph and Jacqueline Gulig own the property. The time of the fire call was 2:44 pm.
