While the Green Bay Packers and the NFL await Aaron Rodgers decision, the team continues to make moves to solidify their team. Monday NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that All-Pro kick returner Keisan Nixon agreed to a one year, $6 million contract to return to Green Bay. Nixon set the Packers single season kick return record with a 28.8 average, led the NFL in most 50-plus yard returns with five, and had one kick return touchdown for 105 yards against the Vikings in Week 17. He also averaged 12.7 yards on 11 punt returns.
Packers President Mark Murphy appeared as a guest on the WIAA State Girls Basketball Television Network, during the girls’ state tournament at the Resch Center in Green last weekend. He was asked if there was a scenario where Rodgers returns to Green Bay. He said that was a possibility if things don’t work out the way they want them to. Murphy also said retirement is still an option for Rodgers. But he says Rodgers is a competitor and he probably still wants to keep playing all things considered.
The Milwaukee Brewers picked up an 8 to nothing win over the Cincinnati Reds in Cactus League play yesterday. The Brew Crew is off today they will play two in split squad action against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday.
The Milwaukee Bucks beat the Sacramento Kings 133 to 124 Monday, Giannis led the Bucks with 46 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. The Bucks lead the Eastern Conference with 49 wins and 19 losses. They take on the Phoenix Suns tonight.
