2/7/23 FDL Home Destroyed by Fire

Fire destroyed a home at 984 Ashbury Court in the City of Fond du Lac early this morning. Just after 1:30 am Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue was sent to the home where they encountered heavy fire condition showing from the roof of the single-family home. The lone occupant was rescued from her bedroom. Strong winds fed the fire, which was extinguished within an hour, but there was extensive damage, and the home is most likely a total loss. No one was injured and the cause of the blaze is being investigated. Fire Chief Erick Gerritson credits a neighbor for calling 911 which got the fire department there quick enough to rescue the home’s occupant before she was injured.
