Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin, 24, remains in critical condition with signs of improvement, two days after suffering a cardiac arrest during Monday’s game against the Bengals. The Bills made the announcement Wednesday afternoon.

Hamlin spent Monday and Tuesday night in the intensive care unit at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe reported Wednesday morning. Jordon Rooney, Hamlin’s marketing representative and friend, told Wolfe on Wednesday that “right now things are moving in a positive direction. The doctors, what they were looking to see, I think they saw that. I can’t speak specifically on it, but things are moving in the right direction.”

The harrowing incident began with just over six minutes remaining in the first quarter of Monday night’s game, when Hamlin tackled Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins after a 13-yard catch. Hamlin got to his feet, then collapsed backward. Hamlin recdeived CPR while on the field. According to the Bills, his heartbeat was restored on the field before he was transported in an ambulance to the UCMC for further testing and treatment.

The Packers were back on the practice field on Wednesday getting ready for Sunday’s primt time game with the Lions at Lambeau Field.  Green Bay wil be trying to avenge a loss at Detroit earlier this season when Aaron Rodgers threw three interceptions and the Packers were then in the habit of turning the ball over. But, during the last four games Green Bay has turned that around.  In the last five quareters the Packers have created seven turnovers and that leads to wins.

“It makes a huge difference,” Rodgers said. “But it is emphasized every single week. It is one of those dead-horse stats that is getting beat up every week. It’s like, ‘yeah, we get it. Turnover margin equates to victories. And here are the stats.’ That’s a part of football. When our defense gets 4 turnovers, and we don’t turn it over, we are going to win a lot of those games.”

“It’s been huge,” said defensive lineman Kenny Clark. “We all know with the turnovers, getting the ball back to #12, he will put points on the board. So anytime we can do that it will be huge for out team”

The Packers ranked near the bottom of the league in turnover margin before their win streak began, but have risen all the way to #8 in the NFL. But the Lions are even better, ranking 6th.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 30 points, 10 assists and a season-high 21 rebounds for his second triple-double of the season, Grayson Allen hit a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 11.6 seconds to go in overtime and the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Toronto Raptors 104-101 on Wednesday night.

Antetokounmpo, who scored a career-high 55 points Tuesday night against Washington, came in having at least 40 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in each of his past three games. The two-time MVP shot 7 for 18 against Toronto, making 1 of 3 from 3-point range and 15 for 21 at the free throw line.

Allen scored 16 points, Bobby Portis Jr. had 14 points and 12 rebounds and Pat Connaughton scored 15 points for the Bucks. They won for the third time in four games since losing a season-high four straight.

Fred VanVleet had 28 points and 12 assists, Trent scored 22 points and Scottie Barnes had 17 but the struggling Raptors lost for the sixth time in seven home games. Toronto has lost 10 of 13 overall.
