Lener Enoc Landero-Suarez made his initial appearance in Fond du Lac County court Tuesday. He is charged with attempted first degree intentional homicide, strangulation and suffocation, substantial battery, and disorderly conduct, all with domestic abuse enhancers. Charges stem from an incident on December 20th at the couple’s home. According to the criminal complaint the victim was choked and hit. She told investigators Landero-Suarez gets very jealous and had told her he was going to kill her. She says he probably would have if his sister hadn’t intervened. As she was on the edge of consciousness the victim overheard him tell his sister, “I killed her, I have to leave.” Landero-Suarez left the house that night but turned himself in to Fond du Lac Police on December 28th. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 12th. (Fond du Lac County Jail photo)
