12 November 2022 News

Green Lake, Wis. – The Historic Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake, Wisconsin, will host a fun holiday-themed event on Saturday, November 26, beginning at 1 p.m. Local photographer Ric Damm will be set up in the Thrasher Gallery to take holiday group photos from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. There is a suggested donation of $25, and all proceeds go towards supporting Thrasher’s music, art, and cultural programs all year round.

Thrasher Opera House will also have a free showing at 2 p.m. of the movie “The Muppet Christmas Carol.” You are encouraged to show up in your coziest holiday pajamas or favorite ugly sweater. The movie will be shown free of charge, and donations are welcome. There are only 200 seats, so come early to get your spot. Thrasher will also be collecting items for the Green Lake Food Pantry – your donations to that cause are also greatly appreciated! Both photo op and movie are first come, first serve.

Thrasher Opera House’s mission is to promote the arts and the power of live performance, provide a community gathering place, and preserve the historic Thrasher Opera House. A charming, intimate, friendly venue with excellent acoustics. Built-in 1910, restored in 1997, and on the National Register of Historic Places. Seats 200.
