U.S. Senator Ron Johnson says there are some stark differences between himself and his opponent in the November 8th election. The Republican from Oshkosh is seeking a third term; he’s opposed by Democratic Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes. Johnson says Barnes has been critical of law enforcement officers and their funding. Johnson says Barnes and Governor Tony Evers have paroled or pardoned hardened criminals endangering the public. He says they also differ over abortion. Johnson feels there should be a national referendum on the issue. Johnson points out Democrats say he created a tax break that benefitted his company but actually it benefitted 20 million business tax filers that allowed them to survive the pandemic. Johnson says he has raised a family and created a business while his opponent is a career politician and activist.
