9/3/22 Two Serious Injury Accidents Reported In FDL Friday Night

3 September 2022 News

An 18-year-old Fond du Lac man on a scooter in Fond du Lac was taken to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee Friday night with life-threatening injuries after the scooter he was on was struck by a vehicle. Police say the scooter was trying to cross Scott Street northbound by Mill Street when it was hit by a vehicle driven by a 53-year-old Fond du Lac resident. The man was initially taken to St. Agnes Hospital.

Police handled a second accident involving a moped a little over an hour later where a 51-year-old Fond du Lac resident was found unconscious on the street terrace at the intersection of Fond du Lac Avenue and County Road V. The person had no pulse and was not breathing. CPR was performed until a pulse returned and paramedics arrived. The person was flown to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee with life-threatening injuries. Investigators believe the person was on a moped that hit the curb and was ejected onto the terrace.
