Two Fond du Lac men suspected of killing a 26-year-old Fond du Lac man are expected to make their initial court appearances on first degree intentional homicide and armed robbery charges Monday. Both 28-year-old Eric Perry and 22-year-old Julius Freeman were picked up on probation warrants last fall and have been incarcerated since. Late the night of October 17th Fond du Lac Police responded to a 9-1-1 call for assistance at a residence in the 300 block of 8th Street. Officers found Benzel Rose dead from apparent gunshot wounds. A gun and some money were stolen from Rose. According to the criminal complaint Freeman admitted to a witness he shot Rose. The victim had posted on Snapchat showing him placing money on a counter at his home. Serial numbers on the bills were visible. Investigators matched those numbers to money in possession of the two suspects. The also recovered pants worn by Freeman with blood on them that matched DNA from Rose.
