7/14/22 Eric Toney Running For State Attorney General
14 July 2022 News
Wisconsin Attorney General candidate Eric Toney says he decided to run for the office when Governor Evers and Incumbent AG Josh Kaul turned their backs on law enforcement while the Jacob Blake shooting in Kenosha was still being investigated. Kenosha County prosecutors decided not to prosecute police officers involved in the August 2020 shooting since Blake was holding a knife. Toney’s father was a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy and as Fond du Lac County District Attorney he says he’s stood with law enforcement for nearly a decade and that’s reflected in his endorsements. Just recently he was also endorsed by Congressman Glenn Grothman. Toney says he’s about enforcing the rule of law while Kaul is playing partisan politics with the office. Toney is one of three Republican candidates running for the office. The Primary Election is on Tuesday, August 9th.
