6/14/22 Fawn Seeks Safe Haven At FDL Fire Station
14 June 2022 News
Fire stations are supposed to be safe havens for dropping off newborns, but the fire department on South Main Street in Fond du Lac saw a twist to that last Friday. A city resident alerted the department that a fawn had braved crossing one of the city’s busiest streets and ended up in their front vestibule. Firefighter/Paramedic Noah Kreilkamp and other personal assisted with safely transferring the fawn into a safe environment in the wooded area near the station where it likely came from.
