6/13/22 SSM Health Greater FDL Region Volunteer Services Awards Seven Scholarships

Seven area students who intend to pursue careers in health care have been awarded scholarships from the SSM Health Greater Fond du Lac Region.  

            The SSM Health Volunteer Services has awarded five from the Fond du Lac area with the Waupun Memorial Hospital Volunteers giving two.  

            Scholarship recipients were chosen from among area high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in health care.  

            Award recipients include: 

  • Courtney Kaufman is a recipient of an SSM Health Volunteer Services $2,000 scholarship. She is a senior at Oakfield High School and plans to pursue a career in Nursing at Carroll University.  
  • Ella Blackburn is a recipient of an SSM Health Volunteer Services $2,000 scholarship. She is a senior at St. Mary’s Springs Academy and plans to attend University of Wisconsin- Madison to pursue a degree in Pediatric Gastroenterology. 
  • Malorie Larsen is a recipient of an SSM Health Volunteer Services $2,000 scholarship. She is a senior at Fond du lac High School. She plans to attend University of Wisconsin-Madison and pursue a career as a physician. 
  • Ella Borgwardt is a recipient of an SSM Health Volunteer Services $2,000 scholarship. She is a senior at Winnebago Lutheran Academy. She plans to attend Wisconsin Lutheran College to pursue a PA in Dermatology. 
  • Celina Lopez (pictured) is a recipient of the Waupun Memorial Hospital Volunteers $2,000 scholarship. She is a senior at Ripon High School and is planning on pursing a career in endocrinology or pharmacology at University of Wisconsin – Madison. 
  • Olivia Ruis is a recipient of the Waupun Memorial Hospital Volunteers $2,000 scholarship. She is a senior at Central Wisconsin Christian and is planning on pursuing a career in nursing at Bethel University. 
  • Courtney Miller is a recipient of an SSM Health Volunteers Technical School $1,000 scholarship. She is a senior at the Princeton High School. She plans to attend Moraine Park Technical College and pursue a career in Health Information Technology.
