5/7/22 Body Recovered On Fox Lake

Dodge County Sheriff’s officials say the body of a rural Fox Lake man who went missing when his canoe capsized on Fox Lake last month was found in the lake Thursday night and was turned over to the County Medical Examiner’s office. Preliminary identification has been made but the man’s name isn’t being released yet. The man and 34-year-old Alicia Johnson were canoeing on the lake on April 21st when their canoe capsized in high winds. Johnson was rescued but the man disappeared below the surface of the lake. An extensive search was conducted, and Sheriff Dale Schmidt says searches continued every day since April 21st leading to Thursday’s recovery.
