For a second day in a row the state’s Department of Health Services reported more than 2,000 new COVID-19 cases. The 2,058 cases identified yesterday was about 300 fewer cases than reported Wednesday but still raised the 7-day average to 1,456 new daily cases. The positivity rate also increased to 10.4 percent for all tests. Six deaths were reported and 21 people were hospitalized. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reported 254 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the state with 46 of them in intensive care units.
Winnebago County reported 49 new COVID-19 cases Thursday. Forty-four (44) new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and Dodge County had 20 new cases. Green Lake County had 5 new cases, Waupaca County had 13 new cases, and Waushara County had 7 new cases of the coronavirus.
