State Health officials say more than 3,200 (3,260) new COVID-19 cases were reported over the weekend pushing the 7-day rolling average for new cases to 1,316 cases a day or nearly 70 more cases a day than last Friday. The Department of Health Services says new cases of the coronavirus are at an 11 week high. However, only 1 death was reported since last Friday and 50 hospitalizations. The Wisconsin Hospital Association reports 245 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the state with 39 in intensive care units.
Winnebago County Monday reported 97 new COVID-19 cases since last Friday. Forty-five (45) new cases were recorded in Fond du Lac County and 23 new cases in Dodge County. Green Lake County had 13 new cases, Waupaca County had 19 new cases, and Waushara County had 9 new cases of the coronavirus.
