5/22/22 Cedar Grove Man Injured In FDL County Motorcycle Accident

A 54-year-old Cedar Grove man was seriously injured when his motorcycle went off County Highway GGG near Forest Lake Road in Fond du Lac County’s Town of Auburn Saturday. The County’s Communication Center got a call about the accident at 12:12 pm. The caller said the man had significant injuries and was not conscious or alert. Sheriff’s deputies, Campbellsport Fire, Campbellsport EMS and Fond du Lac City paramedics responded to the crash scene. The man was flown to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. The initial investigation indicates the motorcycle was traveling too fast as it approached a curve in the roadway and the man tried braking to negotiate the curve. He lost control, traveled across the roadway striking a fence and several trees before the bike came to rest after going down an embankment. He was not wearing a helmet, was not familiar with the roadway and was traveling in excess of the 35 mile an hour speed limit.
