5/19/22 Balloon Week In Omro
19 May 2022 News
It is Balloon Week in Omro. About 10 to 12 balloon twisters from across the country have converged on Omro to teach balloon twisting to children and adults alike. The highlight of the week was the construction of an almost life-sized firetruck made completely of balloons. It took 10 to 12 people about 3 ½ days, 10 hours a day per person, to construct the firetruck, a Dalmatian dog, life-sized fireman, fire hydrant, a large American flag using upwards of five thousand balloons. The balloon artwork was on display at the Omro Fire Station Wednesday afternoon for four hours. A steady stream of children and adults attended the viewing and had photo opportunities to have their pictures taken with the balloon artwork. (Story and photos courtesy of Bruce Link)
