17 May 2022 News

Following a six-day jury trial a Fond du Lac County jury Monday found a 33-year-old Waupun man guilty of killing his grandmother. Gregory Spittel was found guilty of second degree reckless homicide, battery or threat to law enforcement, resisting an officer, disorderly conduct, possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia for the August 28th, 2019 death of 75-year-old Carol Foreman. She was found in a pool of blood at Spittel’s residence on the morning of August 24th, 2019 and died several days later. Sentencing has been set for July 20th. District Attorney Eric Toney says Foreman’s death was a devastating loss for the family. Spittel claimed “the cartel” was responsible for her murder.
