Green Lake, Wis. – An eclectic mix of performers will take the stage at Thrasher Opera House this season. With a quality mix of repeat performers and new artists to debut at Thrasher, we are excited to welcome guests back in full force. Thrasher Opera House Executive Director Rachael Avery says, “We’re looking forward to a fresh, new season that represents a variety of genres, from blues to Gypsy swing and everything in between. We’ll welcome several new artists for the first time; others are fan favorites who will bring their talents back to the historical stage. We are always looking forward to sharing our space with the Green Lake Festival of Music for their classical series and other community events such as a book signing and a holiday movie in November. The Chicago-born and Nashville-based singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer connect the missing link between Motown and Woodstock as he fuses fluid and fiery fretwork with vital and vulnerable vocals. June 20 | Missoula Tryouts | 4-6 p.m. | Free
An audition will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of HANSEL AND GRETEL on Monday, June 20th, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Those auditioning should arrive between 3:30 and 4 p.m. and plan to stay for two hours. Parents are welcome to stay for auditions as well. Some cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the auditions; others will be released at 6 p.m. after making cast announcements.
This program is free for participants, thanks to the support of our wonderful community.
Approximately 50-60 roles are available for local students. All students, grades 1-12, are encouraged to audition. No preparation is necessary. If cast, a rehearsal schedule will be provided – most students should plan on rehearsing 4-8:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 21 through Friday, June 24. Performances will be held on Saturday, June 25, at 3 and 5:30 p.m.

June 25 | Missoula Children’s Theatre Shows – Hansel & Gretel
Approximately 50-60 local students will be putting on a production of Hansel & Gretel at the historic Thrasher Opera House on Saturday, June 25.
Show 1 – Doors open at 2:30 p.m., show begins at 3 p.m.
Show 2 – Doors open at 5 p.m., show begins at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for adults.

Guests may start arriving at 6 pm. The concert will begin at 7 pm. Audience members should bring their lawn chairs; we ask for no beverage carry-ins, as a bar and cocktail hour will be available. There is free street parking; please park on the West side of the street or use the public parking lot at Lake and South Street.

Join us (rain or shine) for the annual Lakeapalooza Green Lake Community Street Dance on Saturday, August 27th! This is a family fun event that you do not want to miss! It’s been said that you don’t seek out the blues – it seeks out you. For guitar virtuoso Albert Cummings, no words could ring truer.
