May Programs

Take & Makes

Buzz into the library starting May 9th for two Take & Make options for all ages. A dragonfly kit contains everything necessary to create a beautiful, beaded dragonfly decoration.  A mammoth sunflower growing kit includes seeds, soil, and a pot. Both are available while supplies last. One kit per person please.

Storytime

Storytimes focus on active learning and fun on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am, through May 10. Early literacy and STEM concepts come to life through stories, music, movement, and enrichment activities with themes to celebrate the arrival of spring! Storytimes are designed for 2–4-year-olds, accompanied by their caregiver, but enjoyable for the whole family. Come early May 10 to enjoy Birth, Babies, and Beyond.  Stay and play in the Romper Room after Storytime.

Babies, Birth, and Beyond

Join Dr. Autumn Pawlowski, PT, DPT of Advanced Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine for a “Babies, Birth, and Beyond” support group. Subjects include Nutrition, Lifting mechanics, Women’s health PT, and more! Class to be held May 10th at 9:30 am before Storytime in the Romper Room. All in the community are welcome. Please contact Dr. Autumn Pawlowski for questions at apaul@advancedptsm.com or by phone at 920-896-0430.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover

Does your stuffed animal love the library as much as you do? Then they should come to our stuffed animal sleepover! Pick up a ‘Permission slip’ ahead of time or fill one out when you drop your friend off for the sleepover on May 12th at 6:00pm. Stuffed animals can be picked up the following day, May 13th, at the checkout desk, and photos of their adventures will be emailed out that day as well!

How Does Your Garden Grow?

Families with children of all ages are invited to an evening storytime celebrating the wonders of the season on Wednesday May 18 at 6:00 pm. Sing, dance, celebrate dirt, meet wiggly worms, and help beautify the library entrance with colorful flowers!

Every child has a turn to plant a flower and receives their own pot with seeds and soil to take home.

Plant Exchange

Do you have a plant you have outgrown? Do you have cuttings you want to share? Join us for a plant exchange on May 21st from 10:00 am to noon in the Silver Creek Room. Bring plants or cuttings you want to give away or trade. No repotting at the library, must be ready to go home with someone else so don’t bring a plant in your favorite planter. All ages welcome!
