4/9/22 High Speed Chase In FDL County

Fond du Lac County had a high-speed chase early Saturday morning. A Sheriff’s deputy tried to pull a speeding vehicle over at Lakeshore Drive and Kinker Road in the Town of Friendship at 1:43 am. The chase continued for 4.5 miles and ended at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and West Scott Street when the suspect’s vehicle left the road and crashed into a grove of trees. The 34-year-old Fond du Lac man driving the vehicle fled on foot, but was immediately caught. A 20-year-old Fond du Lac man who was a passenger in the vehicle remained in it until he was detained. The driver was taken to St.Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac where he was treated for minor injuries. He’s facing several charges including felony fleeing, OWI, multiple drug charges and multiple traffic citations. He was also wanted on a probation and parole warrant. The passenger refused medical treatment. The suspect’s vehicle was totaled.
